Early in the 20 th century, Georges REYNAUD ploughed his vine crops in “Le Basque”, a locality in St Loubès. In those years, he used to grow white grapes varieties that he vinified and embottled on his own. His wine was dispatched to Paris in wooden boxes.

September 1946, he made a settlement on his two children Elisabeth and Henri.

Henri inherited the plots of vineyard. He and his wife, also an heir of some plots, both established a small wine-estate that was to expand up to 3 hectares between the 70s and 80s thanks to successive purchases. They initiated the bottles retail sale in the property.

In 1964, their son Pierre and his wife Simone bought a dwelling which was to come the presentday head office. They created the brand name “CLOS DE PELIGON” under which they developed direct sale from their property. As the years went, some more plots were purchased as to reach a surface of 6,50 hectares in 1983.

In 1983, grouping of the two estates to create a sole one owning a surface of 9 hectares.

In 1992, the family company is created “EARL VIGNOBLES REYNAUD”, managed by Pierre, Simone and their son Gérard REYNAUD. This latter cultivates more than 10 hectares of vineyards, mainly red grapes varieties.

After various purchasing, our estate has now a surface of 15 hectares, with a production of :

  • 13,50 hectares of red wine
  • 1,50 hectares of white wine

The mother Simone, the son Gérard who is the current manager, and his wife Marie-Ange ensure the smooth running of the company.
